At last night's Kodiak Island Borough Assembly meeting, the assembly voted to pass a resolution supporting the Alaska Coastal Management Program Initiative and an ordinance that cements that support with a thousand dollar contribution to the Alaska Sea Party, which is overseeing the collection of 26,000 signatures that will get the initiative on next fall's general election ballot.
