Commercial fishermen in Bristol Bay hauled in 1.1-million sockeye on Wednesday to push the season total to over 6.1-million fish. The District that’s still out in front in the Bay is the Egegik District where fishermen hauled in 219-thousand sockeye on Wednesday to push the District total to 2.1-million fish.
Fishermen in the Naknek-Kvichak River hauled in 400-thousand sockeye on Wednesday to push the District total to over 1.5-million. Wednesday’s catch in the Ugashik District was 170-thousand sockeye to push the District total to over 1.4-million. The catch in the Nushagak District was 329-thousand to push the season total to over 1-million.
